The fishing village TAJAO
The quaint little fishing village is located between Poris de Abona and El Medano. The original village is a real insider tip for lovers of fresh fish and seafood.
Early in the morning, the many fishermen of the place go to sea, during the day the small fishing boats bob in the bay of Tajao while the caught fish are offered fresh from the counter in the many, distributed over the whole place, family restaurants.
From a delicious corvina (eaglefish) to a delicious cherne (silverfish) or a few boquerones (sardines) with lemon juice can enjoy the freshly caught by the fishermen of the place and prepared in the Canarian style fish with a beautiful view of the sea.

The small beach of the village is very rocky, but only a few short steps along the coast you can discover impressively beautiful rock formations. Particularly attractive is the ocher yellow rock landscape directly on the Atlantic coast. The here ocher-colored volcanic rock was eroded by its bizarre forms.
Take the Autopista towards Santa Cruz via the airport exit. After that it is the third exit Tajao. Just drive into the village and choose a walk in one of the restaurants.
